1 Three Chinook helicopters to Mali

The Netherlands will add three Chinook transport helicopters to its contribution to the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). In the vast area of northern Mali, the availability of transport helicopters is of great value to the UN mission. The helicopters will be used for medical evacuation, transportation tasks and tactical mobility.

2 Prime Minister Mark Rutte: ‘Satisfied with first day of NSS’

Speaking after the first day of the Nuclear Security Summit, Prime Minister Mark Rutte said: ‘It was a good first day. As chairman of this NSS I’m very satisfied. This is only the halfway point, but I’m convinced we’ll be able to continue in the same excellent atmosphere tomorrow.’

3 Screening of the short documentary “Theo van Boven: A Tribute”

On Thursday April 3, the Netherlands Mission, in close cooperation with the Mission of Argentina and Human Rights Watch, is organizing a screening of the short documentary “Theo van Boven: A Tribute”. The documentary focusses on Professor van Boven’s time as director of the UN Division of Human Rights.

5 Decent work for Women: A case for Living Wages

The People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Kingdom of the Netherlands cordially invite you to join an event on Decent Work for Women, to be held on the margins of the 58th session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York. This event will be held on the 10th of March, between 3 – 4:15 PM, in the Dag Hammarskjöld Library Auditorium at UN Headquarters.
